BrotherBluto.com Haas/Rahm Wedding Baby Steinhauer Baby Shower BBQ Curtis Rants 30th Birthday Cleveland 2006

Just wanted to take a little time to detail our trip to Cleveland for the Sheets/Lotton wedding.  We all had a great time, and the first thing I need to is thank Carey and Aaron.  Congratulations to you both.  Your wedding was beautiful, and I was honored to be a part of your day.

While we were in Cleveland we got to have a lot of fun.  We saw Robert Lockwood Jr, at Fat Fish Blue, ate at the Great Lakes Brewery, went to the West Side Market, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and saw an amazing performance from Glenn Schwarz at Major Hooples.  We also got to eat a lot of delicious food and take in an Indians game (the Tribe. beat Detroit and Amber saw her first inside the park home-run).

I didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked, partly because the RnRHoF doesn't allow photography, but I'm going to post what I have.  I'm also adding a couple of videos from Hooples.  Neither are particularly high quality but hopefully they'll give you an idea of how amazing this show was.  There are also two clips from the Lotton wedding reception.  These are a little bit better, but lighting was dark so you may need to strain a bit to see what's going on.

Robert Lockwood Jr.

Playing with his all star band at Fat Fish Blue on 7/26/06. He's 91 years old and took lessons from Robert Johnson. It was amazing to see this guy still rocking.

The Cleveland skyline.

This is the view of the Cleveland skyline from the Rock and Roll Hall of fame.

Science Center and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Here's a pic of the science center between the Browns stadium and the RnRHoF.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

One of two photos Amber took of the Hall. It had been raining very hard earlier in the morning and the skies are still cloudy.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

This is a little better picture than the last, and it looks like the skies are starting to get a little bit lighter.

Bluto at the RnRHoF.

Here I am in front of the Hall of Fame. I had just finished bowing down to worship in front of John Paul Jones piano. Too bad photography isn't allowed inside.

Bluto and Amber outside Major Hooples.

Phtotography is strongly discouraged inside the bar itself. We were able to get a couple of shots out front, though.

Chris and Jodi at Major Hooples

We have Jodi to thank for one of the videos of Glenn Schwarz. She was able to sneak of few seconds with a camera phone before being shutdown.

Naptime

Bluto tries to get some rest in the afternoon.

Rehersal Dinner

Jeff "I want some meat" Fitzler and Adam "Horse F*cker" Steinhauer mug for the camera during rehersal dinner at Opa.

First Dance

Aaron and Carey have their first dance toghether as Mr. and Mrs. Lotton.

Aaron and Mom.

Shakin their groove thangs!

Amber and Aaron "this is your craziest friend" Gadbois get down to the music.

Bluto and Amber share a dance

This was still early in the evening while everything was in the upright and locked position.

More dancing Blutos

The band was great. Easily the best wedding band I've ever seen. George and the MC's should take notes.

Gads and Bluto share a dance.

That gadbois kid really knows how to shake it.

Anna Nesbit

Anna is one os Carey's two sisters and was a matron of honor. Here she is talking on the stairs leading to the reception.

The Cummings

John and Nichole

Damn, I'm funny.

Aaron shows off his good sense of humor.

Glasses?

I honostly don't know what the hell is going on here. This was the last photo taken with the camera.

The happy groom.

Aaron shows his pride in his new committment to marriage with a big smile.

Gads and Fitz

Aaron Gadbois and Jeff Fitzler wait at the bar to get drinks.

Jodi and Aaron

These two were the life of the party. And I was still picking glitter out of my beard on Sunday night!

Megan and Andy

Aaron's little sister Megan was a bridesmaid.

The O'Gorman Boys

All the boys from O'Gorman highschool and the old North End.

The O'Gorman Boys 2

Little more of a close up. Check out Lotton's pink tie!

Photo guy

We pressed this poor guy into taking photos of the group. He had a hard time using the PhD cameras. His wife really wanted him to dance.

Carey, Becca, and another guest.

As I know I introduced myself to Mr. Sheets several times on Saturday, I should probably remember this gentleman's name as well, but I don't. My apolgies.

Robin and Jane

Carey's friends Robin and Jane made the trip all the way from Scotland.

Sarah Wilson

Carey's sister Sarah was a Matron of Honor.

The Blutos

Adam and Amber pose for the camera.

The wedding cake.

A beautiful and delicious wedding cake.

Here are the two videos taken from inside Major Hooples.  The first one was taken by Jodi Sweeney on her camera phone and has much better picture quality.  The second was taken with a digital camera from near the back of the bar.  The video is bad but the sounds is a little bit better.

And here are the two videos from the Lotton wedding.  The first is of Aaron and Carey cutting the wedding cake.  Sorry, it was awfully dark at the time and this video is a little hard to make out.  The second is some footage of the temptations cover group that was playing at the reception.  These guys were good. Like Aaron said, "There's free booze and a band.  How can you not have a good time?"
